- Their mission is shift technology toward a more humane future, one that supports a healthy environment. They believe that a better future with technology is possible but we must think about the foundations of how was built and deployed.
- I do agree to a certain extent such as the Addictive Design. The infinite scroll can/will have you in sitting in one spot for hours. The entertainment is designed to keep you locked. I was a little surprised because I didn’t realize how much our brain crave the next hit in social media. Absolutely, I definitely think it’s changed in the last year with all of the AI so many people are jumping into it.

- This was a very interesting podcast. I think agree with on a lot of things such being harmful to the world. With the recent incident that just happened it Utah that person may have gotten on AI to plan everything. I think overall AI is trying to be out smarter everyone.
- Positively AI can help and support Social Workers efficiently and and expand access to services. Negatively it can introduce ethical risk and privacy concerns. I think its important for Social Workers to make sure to use very secure software.

My take on CHT is similar to yours. As you stated “CHT argue that AI systems are often built to maximize engagement, profit, or surveillance.” I wrote on my original post how social media software now is used to keep people scrolling which helps the company gained profit. This will impact the younger generation severely since they have gotten phones at an earlier age and are engaging on those platforms.
In addition, I wanted to touch base on the negative aspects in regards to social services. I think people might rely on AI chatbot more for help instead of reaching out to a human social worker. Have you thought of that as well?

I think CHT provided us with a lot more information about their mission and purpose than you discuss here. They believe that the actual design of technology is a financial motivation, right? I would have liked to hear more about their ideas.
There was a great deal more in these discussions that I would have liked you to talk about. The algorithm of social media, the divisiveness of its design, the domains it discusses in terms of the impact of AI, or its ability to “go rogue.” Social work will also have to deal with a significant effect of AI, whether we want it or not.
