Our Technology and Social Work Practice Blog

Welcome to our class blog.  You will write 3 blog posts over the course of the semester, discussing various issues related to technology and social work practice.  The intent of this blog is for you to share your understanding of what we are reading with the rest of the class and to engage with all of us in discussing these issues.  The grading rubric for the blog posts is located HERE.  or in iCollege in the Welcome module.   The important thing to remember, however, is to share your understandings, reactions, and opinions about what we are reading and hearing.  You are required to post comments on two of your classmates’ blog posts.

Each blog post will have specific instructions for you to follow.  Some will ask you to respond to the ideas in a given article, others will ask you to discuss specific questions about a topic or issue.  Included here is a video that walks you through how to register for the blog and how to write your specific posts.  Each post requires you to select an image that best reflects your thinking about the particular topic.

There is a separate page for each of our blog posts.  When you select the category of the post (which matches our blog post assignments) your post will automatically appear on that page.  All of your posts will automatically be formatted the same way as you publish them.  I talk more about that in the video below on blog posts.  I have tried to make this as seamless as possible for you, but as always, if you have any questions, just ask.
