CHT Mission simply connects human values and technology to include educating others. It raises awareness in technology and how technology affects the brain. There’s also a great deal of emphasis on ethical challenges, especially in reference to Ai.

Ai offers a dynamic twist to technology and the way we perform daily tasks and within the workplace. The issues that we are currently facing is the ethical responsibility, misinformation, and the lack of critical thinking.  Algorithms often reward outrage and division, amplifying misinformation and deepening political polarization. At the same time, these platforms collect vast amounts of personal data, raising serious privacy concerns.

We will have the power to determine the strengths of technology and Ai and how it will effect the outcomes of issues to resolve. We have the power to demand and design tools that strengthen our societies instead of fragmenting them. It is also important to remember the traditional aspects of communication, education, and human interaction. Technology should enhance all of those experiences and not replace human interaction. In the video, ‘Could Ai go Rogue’, there was an interest point about making Ai smarter and more efficient. There’s a question about Ai in reference to giving the poer to Ai and not worrying about the technology systems and Ai outsmarting humans per say. It’s scary as well to know that Ai can ask for access to accounts and your technology which can give the power to Ai and become a threat.

Social work will have to rely more on human interaction and perhaps the ability to use technology to conduct case reviews, notes, and resources. Technology will definitely become the norm in social work, however there will be an expectation to continue to interact with the human ultimately.

This picture is a depiction of the younger generation blocking out the Ai and technological era. It the see no evil, hear no evil, and speak not evil.

Great post! I think that social workers will have to rely on the interactions that they have with humans, as they are the ones that we would be assisting in terms of counselling, providing resources, etc. I think this would balance the interaction that they have with AI, as this would mean that instead of using AI to understand the individual, they can use AI to improve their quality of service, such as identifying the most effective resources that could benefit them, as well as identifying secondary agencies that would be able to provide additional assistance to those clients. Additionally, this would be aligned with the general goal of AI, which is to better one’s lifestyle and tasks.
